One graduated single strand pearl necklace 18.0" princess length, knotted with a tongue clasp containing 37 south sea cultured pearls, 10.0mm in size to 13.8mm in size. The pearls are white in color with a good luster, round to near round, and moderately blemished with very good matching. Graded on the strand. South Sea cultured pearls are farmed in the oceans surrounding Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines and the southern coast of China. The main source of Australian South Sea pearls lies in the northwest on the Kimberly coast. South Sea cultured pearls are formed in the Pinctada Maxima oyster, which is the world's largest pearl cultivating oyster and is native to the South China Sea, the Java, the Indian and the Pacific Oceans. There are two varieties of the Pinctada Maxima oyster: the Gold Lipped oyster which produces golden colored pearls, and the Silver Lipped oyster which produces white colored pearls. These pearls take between two to three years to grow and have a unique nacre due to the fast moving and clean waters of the South Seas. Fifty-Three bead set single cut diamonds, measuring 1.10 - 0.95 x 0.64mm (depth est.) approximate. Total Weight of 53 Stones = 0.22ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity: SI-1 to SI-2. Color: H - I. Cut Good. Total Weight of Diamonds 0.22ct. Total Weight of 83.00gm. GAS Appraised at $18,125.00.
