Morgan was born in 1959 in the South Gyeongsang Province of Korea. When he first began his artistic career, he focused primarily on figure drawing, but after a visit back to his hometown, he discovered his passion for nature and began painting landscapes and florals. Since then, his oil paintings have always reflected his hometown atmosphere. - As an adult, Morgan spent years traveling Italy and became inspired by the culture and beauty of Tuscan nature. After being influenced by many Impressionist artists throughout his journey, he established his own style with his aesthetic experiences from Tuscany. The sunlight is almost palpable on the bright fields of flowers he depicts in his pieces, while his poppy oil paintings featuring metallic paints mixed with vibrant pops of color bring a contemporary element to his Impressionist methods. - He recently visited Taiwan to study its cultures where he developed unique color palettes and techniques based on his observations. With the blending of Eastern and Western influences in his art, his hope is to continue evolving as an artist and create original paintings that are entirely unique and genuine.Since the year 2002, J. Morgan been exhibiting at New York Art Expo and has been a member of Art Power for several years now. Morgan's artwork can be found in select fine art galleries and private collections throughout the United States and around the world.
