Artist: Henri Delavallee - Title: Farmyard - Medium: Fine Art Reproduction Giclee on Canvas - Image Size: Approximately 15.5 inches x 20 inches - Unframed on Unstretched Canvas - Biography: Henri Delavallee was French painter and printmaker. After university studies at the Sorbopnne, he studied at the college of art in Paris. In 1881 he visited Pont-Aven, where in 1886 he joined the group of artists influenced by Gauguin, especially emile Bernard. He painted impressionist, synthetist and occasionally pointillist paintings, but mainly worked as a graphic artist. In 1890 he exhibited at Durand-Ruel's. In 1891-1901 he visited Turkey, and he became a successful landscape and portrait painter. Thereafter he lived in the Oise valley and at Pont-Aven.
