One electronically tested 18KT white gold ladies cast tourmaline & diamond ring with a bright finish. The featured tourmaline is set within tiered diamond bezels, supported by an elaborate white gold lattice under gallery and diamond set shoulders, completed by a four millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "18K". Containing: One bezel set oval mixed cut natural cuprian tourmaline, measuring 15.39 x 14.18 x 9.30mm, approximate weight of 12.44ct., clarity is slightly included, medium dark, slightly grayish, greenish blue color, (GIA gB 6/2), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Naturally occurring internal & external characteristics are present. Graded in the GIA Laboratory, Report # 2161689792. This copper and manganese bearing tourmaline maybe called "Paraiba tourmaline" in the trade. The name "Paraiba" comes from the Brazilian locality where this gem was first mined, however today it may come from several localities. Sixty bezel and prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.50 - 1.90 x 1.32mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 60 Stones = 2.50ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-1 to I-1.
