One electronically tested 14KT yellow gold ladies cast coral and diamond ring with a bright and milgrain finish. Condition is new, good workmanship. The featured coral is set within a diamond lattice gallery, completed by a two millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "K14". Containing: One prong set oval cabochon cut natural salmon coral, measuring 10.90 x 9.00 x 4.50mm, approximate weight of 3.16ct., clarity is severely included, medium light, moderately strong, reddish orange color, (GIA rO 4/4), cut is good. Transmitting light very diffusely, opaque. Naturally occurring internal & external characteristics are present. Graded in the setting. Coral (Corallium Japonicum) is formed undersea by microscopic animals called coral polyps. These tiny, creatures form minute, hard shells. As a colony grows, it takes on complex branching, tree-like forms which allows the maximum number of polyps to be fed by the nutrients in the water. It grows about one quarter inch per year. This color of coral is commonly treated to improve or change the color and stability. Evidence that may confirm this is typically lacking. Twenty bead set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.00 - 1.90 x 1.17mm (depth est.) approximate. Total Weight of 20 Stones = 0.64ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity: SI-1 to I-1. Color: G - I. Total Weight of Colored Stones 3.16ct. Total Weight of Diamonds 0.64ct. Total Weight of Ring 5.80 grams. AIG Appraised.
