One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast tanzanite and diamond ring with a bright polish finish. The featured tanzanite is set within a floral diamond bezel, completed by a three millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "K14". Condition is new, good workmanship. Containing: One prong set oval cabochon cut natural tanzanite, measuring 18.00 x 12.65 x 8.10mm, approximate weight of 16.78ct., clarity is heavily included, type I, medium dark, very slightly grayish, bluish violet color, (GIA bV 6/3), cut is good. Transmitting light somewhat diffusely, transparent to translucent. Naturally occurring internal & external characteristics are present. Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Sixty-Six prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.10 - 2.00 x 1.23mm (depth est.) approximate. Total Weight of 66 Stones = 2.18ct. Faint brown secondary color throughout.
